Introduction
The fusion of art and technology can produce amazing results.
Recently, we experimented with a unique approach: combining children’s drawings with advanced AI models to create new artworks.
In this experiment we used DreamStudio and the SDXL 1.0 model.
From drawing to text prompt
The adventure started with photographing drawings made by our grandchildren. You can see here another drawing that we used for this, carefully added years ago to the collection of children’s drawings that we keep at home.
These photos were then turned into text prompts using AI tools. The descriptive texts formed the basis for generating new images.
DreamStudio and SDXL 1.0: a powerful combination
DreamStudio, powered by the SDXL 1.0 model, was used to translate the text prompts into visual forms.
Thanks to the advanced settings of the program, we were able to customize the generated images to our liking, from color palette to texture.
Children's drawings as inspiration
What’s remarkable is that the AI actually seems inspired by the original children’s drawings. The heart and the four spheres in the corners are used again and again by artificial intelligence.
The output of the model produces images that can be classified as new ‘children’s drawings’, albeit in an AI version. You can see ten generated images of the drawing above below.
This demonstrates the versatility and adaptive capability of modern AI systems.
Conclusion
By combining children’s drawings and AI in an innovative way, we have discovered a fascinating new form of art.
This method opens the door to countless possibilities where human creativity and AI dexterity go hand in hand.
It also highlights how AI can be used to value and transform the simplest forms of human expression.
