Introduction
The 11th of the 11th is over and all the fervent carnival revellers are in one way or another preparing for the real Lenten at the beginning of the next year.
In the first post Carnival 2.0 – series 1 , the first participants of a whole collection of AI-generated works passed by.
Today the second series of cheerful, costumed and painted AI-Carnaival celebrants – completely fictional, but you wouldn’t have expected anything else.
Innovative traditions
Traditions renew, adapt, spontaneously, sometimes with some gentle, public urge. And that applies in particular to the established carnival-organizations. The mostly male-dominated carnival companies have had their day in the traditional setting.
Last year, the prince and his adjutants were alternated here and there by a princess and her female adjutants. Female board members had already taken a seat behind the board table. Female presidents are no longer unique.
Individual or organized
On the one hand, the carnival is a local affair of often strictly traditionally organized organizations with their own rituals and internal celebrations, the individual carnivalist celebrates his or her carnival alone or with small groups.
The many parades are a clear example of this. Although the parade is tradition, you can clearly see the contemporary character and creative freedom of the individual participants and the groups.
In this and subsequent series ‘Carnival 2.0’ you will see AI-generated individuals and groups of children who are cheerful and face painted in a unique way.
The fictional world of AI images
It’s really all AI fiction – no matter how human the characters may look. The artificial intelligence (AI) enables a motley collection of AI personalities, each with their own unique carnival outfit.
Everything just a little bit different than usual. Think of it as a unique experience, a fusion of technology and tradition, reminding us that celebration knows no boundaries – even in the digital world.
