The Cross-pollination<\/em> series brings together an unconventional approach to art and technology. Rather than presenting art solely as the result of human insight, each post in this series (but basically all works on this website) shows how works of art can emerge from the interaction between human creativity and AI.<\/p>\n

Each post in this series showcases a number of artworks generated by advanced AI art generators. But… each creation is a ‘cross-pollination’ of a text prompt I inserted – often in consultation with ChatGPT – and an earlier illustration that was also created with the help of an art generator.<\/p>\n

In the works below I have come up with a text prompt with which previous works are transformed into portraits in the atmosphere of Chinese porcelain.<\/em><\/p>\n

Chinese porcelain, known for its delicate beauty and craftsmanship, has a rich history dating back more than a thousand years. It is manufactured from a specific type of clay, rich in kaolin, and baked at extreme temperatures.<\/p>\n

Chinese porcelain was once highly valued by emperors and royals around the world. It became an important export item along the Silk Road and played a crucial role in the cultural exchange between the East and the West.<\/p>\n

Today, Chinese porcelain remains a symbol of sophistication and elegance, both in traditional and modern forms. Collecting and appreciating it remains an art in itself.<\/p>\n
